Qi Dance - Embodying Joy through Qigong and Dance with Karen Fletcher
Does skipping make you smile? Or running backwards barefoot through a meadow? Or dancing wildly in the moonlight? What about these experiences awaken our bodies and our Joy? Movement. Play. Love. And connecting with our natural world.
Our moving bodies are our teachers, our doorway home, our playmates and our pathway to wholeness and embodying Joy. And bringing our movement, our bare feet back to our mountains, our trees and our running waters also awakens our native aliveness and opens us to our Earth, our Mother Teacher. Many of us coming from the city have 'sity' lives – lives that may be quite sedentary and involve much sitting. By moving in ways that open our senses and our hearts, we begin to 'make sense' again. We begin to play and love, and deeply sense our connected, embodied Joy.
Joy for me is my aliveness, my full, embodied presence, enthusiasm and capacity to Love and move with what is here right now. This 'playshop' is an experience in Movement, Play, Love, and our Natural World using the tools of qigong, dance and the presence of our Mt. Tahoma (native name for Mt. Rainer). Come play and dance with your open feet!
River Walk Tours - with Jacquie Schwoerer
River walking is more than just a hike through beautiful scenery. It is a rejuvenating and healing experience which your body immediately drinks in the moment you arrive. Described by many as the ultimate foot massage, river walking is also a deeply meditative journey as the river’s white noise disconnects you from the stresses of the world and sings you a never-ending lullaby. With Jacquie as your guide, you are free to choose your path. Will it be barefoot through deep lush moss, or upon the warm sun-baked rocks? Will you plunge right in for a dowsing under a waterfall, or just dip your toes in from time to time? Either way, the choice is always right when it’s yours. And it is!
